Comparative Economics of Traditional and Modern Dairy Farms in Eastern U.P.

A samples of total 270 dairy respondents were selected from the district and purposive cum random sampling technique was adopted for study. It observed that over all categories sample farm groups selected, gross investment found in decreasing trend at Rs. /Animal i.e., 1660335.42, 176674.52 122801.01 marginal, medium large category farms, respectively. Overall Net returns per litre milk produced 12 on traditional 12.73 modern farm. In similar trend, overall day farms 241.09 262.56, study reveals enhanced income can be enjoyed by adopting approach farming.
